A very prickly evergreen plant with fleshy grey green leaves with a creamy margin. A strong architectural plant for desert or exotic schemes. Does well in a large pot where it will get to 1.5m in time. Hardy in mild gardens otherwise move to a greenhouse over winter. Mix in plenty of grit when planting, they need really good drainage

Unless otherwise indicated our plants are supplied in the following pot sizes according to category. Dimensions refer to either the pot diameter (cm) or volume (litre);

  • Exotics/Conservatory & House Plants, Succulents: mostly as young plants in 9cm or 1 litre pots
  • Hardy Perennials, Ferns and Grasses: 1 litre (approx 12cm diameter)
  • Herbs: 9cm
  • Hardy Shrubs and Climbers: 1.5 or 2 litre 
  • Potted Bulbs: variable- please see "Size/Qty" on product information page 
  • Dormant Bulbs, Tubers and Bare-root perennials come either bagged or wrapped without a pot

The exact size of plants will vary with the growing season and may be cut back in accordance with normal pruning regimes or to fit in the box if they are excessively tall
