Striking perennial with electric-blue, thistle-like flowers in mid-summer. For well drained soil in full sun. Suitable for sandy or chalky soils. Ideal for coastal gardens. Very drought tolerant and looks great in a gravel garden with ornamental grasses and Erigeron karvinskianus.
