('Snow Giant'.) Growing to around 60 to 80 cm, not sure where the reference to Giant fits in. Nonetheless this is a good plant for growing in wet heavy soil, along with Lythrum, Filipendula etc.

A compact, spreading perennial with deep blue flowers from June-August. Ideal for edging the front of the border. For moist, well drained soil in full sun or part shade.

A rare variegated cultivar, with leaves mottled and streaked with yellow. In spring single yellow flowers are dotted among the leaves.

A South African cormous plant, loving well-drained soil in full sun. Tall flower spikes to 1.5 m. carry peachy-orange flowers in late summer - makes an impressive display. In cold gardens can be grown in a heavy pot & well-drained gritty John Innes mix.

Autumn flowering bulb with a succession of crocus-like, white flowers. For very well drained soil in full sun.
