RHS Chelsea Plant of the Year 2014

A recent cultivar from Japan, noted for its dense mopheads of double pink flowers, with each sepal edged distinctively with red. The deep green foliage takes on dark red overtones in the autumn, making for an impressive display. Flowers on current and prvious year's wood, so long flowering - from July to October. Retains its pinkish hue on acid soils.  Compact, so good for a pot.
