Size/Qty: 20 seeds approx
A beautiful annual climber, with flowers markedly different to other Ipomoeas. This produces spikes of tubular flowers which start a deep fiery red and then fade through orange and yellow to pale cream. The deeply lobed leaves add to the exotic effect. The common name Spanish flag refers to the red and cream flowers, actually native to Mexico. Needs a warm spot and moist but well drained soil to do well. Plant out only when the weather and soil have warmed up. This vigorous climber will quickly reach to the skies so make sure you plant them with an obelisk or trellis for support. In typical summers may reach up to 2 meters maybe more
Sow March to April - 3 to 4 seeds per 9cm diameter pot. Keep at a constant temperature of 18C. Plant out only when the risk of frost has passed.
