An arching deciduous shrub bearing racemes of scented white flowers in mid-summer. In the autumn its leaves take on rich red colour before falling. Best in slightly acid soil, so would asscociate well with Azaleas and Rhododendrums etc. Remove flowered shoots to strong new shoots after flowering.
