** Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022 Bank Holiday - Mail Order Deliveries **

Due to the first week in June being a 3 day working week we are planning to suspend dispatching plants during that week. We will do our best to get any existing orders sent this coming week (commencing 23rd MAY).  Orders received after 20th May could be subject to delay as our courier is expecting the following week (commencing 6th June) to be very busy.

If your order is urgent please let us know and we will see what we can do.

Pea (Mangetout) Carouby de Maussane - Seeds

Tall variety producing high yields of flat pods which are eaten whole. Great in stir fries but for maximum goodness eat them raw. The tender young shoots and pretty purple flowers have a delicate pea flavour and can be added to salads.

Sow March to May in flat bottomed drills 5cm deep and 10cm wide.

Space seeds 5cm apart with 60cm between rows, then cover over with soil and gently tamp down with the back of a rake.

>Cover with netting to stop bird digging up the seed or pecking the seedlings. Provide some support for the plants to climb up. Their tendrils will need something to cling to. Twiggy sticks are best, netting should be avoided as it is a hazard to wildlife
