Cooking Use:  Flavouring soups/ stews/ sauces
Flavour/Texture:  Spicy/aromatic

Mild chilli pepper producing fruits which mature from green to red. Scoville score: 2,500-5,000. Sow indoors March to April. Prick out seedlings into 3-4 inch pots then when rooted plant into grow bags in the greenhouse or 8inch pots indoors. Peppers need plenty of heat to fruit well so best grown in a greenhouse or indoors on a windowsill.

Dry and use as Chilli or Cayenne Pepper

Unless otherwise indicated our plants are supplied in the following pot sizes according to category. Dimensions refer to either the pot diameter (cm) or volume (litre);

  • Exotics/Conservatory & House Plants, Succulents: mostly as young plants in 9cm (approx. 0.5 litre)  or 1 litre pots
  • Hardy Perennials, Ferns and Grasses: 1 litre (approx. 12cm diameter)
  • Herbs: 9cm (approx. 0.5 litre)
  • Hardy Shrubs and Climbers: 1.5 or 2 litre 
  • Potted Bulbs: variable- please see "Quantity or Pot size" on plant information page 
  • Dormant Bulbs, Tubers and Bare-root perennials come either bagged or wrapped without a pot

The exact size of plants will vary with the growing season and may be cut back in accordance with normal pruning regimes or to fit in the box if they are excessively tall.
