An evergreen shrub related to the Myrtle with small leathery leaves and dainty pink flowers followed by scented dark red berries which can be made into jam. Apparently favoured by Queen Victoria. Grow in a sheltered sunny spot in well drained soil.

The exact size of plants will vary with the growing season and may be cut back in accordance with normal pruning regimes or to fit in the box if they are excessively tall
