Hardy annual herb with blue-green leaves with a high oil content. Strong sweet flavour. Particularly good with fish but also in soups, sauces and stews. 

Sow year round indoors or March to June outdoors

Sow thinly in small post of compost or direct into the growing site and cover with a light layer of compost. Thin seedlings to 20cm apart

Plant in full sun and water frequently in summer to prevent from going to seed.

Unless otherwise indicated our plants are supplied in the following pot sizes according to category. Dimensions refer to either the pot diameter (cm) or volume (litre);

  • Exotics/Conservatory & House Plants, Succulents: mostly as young plants in 9cm or 1 litre pots
  • Hardy Perennials, Ferns and Grasses: 1 litre (approx 12cm diameter)
  • Herbs: 9cm
  • Hardy Shrubs and Climbers: 1.5 or 2 litre 
  • Potted Bulbs: variable- please see "Size/Qty" on product information page 
  • Dormant Bulbs, Tubers and Bare-root perennials come either bagged or wrapped without a pot

The exact size of plants will vary with the growing season and may be cut back in accordance with normal pruning regimes or to fit in the box if they are excessively tall
