Impressive deep red beetroot leaves, harvest as seedlings for nutritious micro salad garnish or larger as a baby leaf. Adds colour and flavour to salads.
An excellent source of beta carotene, calcium, iron and folic acid.

WHERE TO SOW For baby leaves sow thinly in shallow drills 1.5cm (1/2") deep with 30cm (12") between rows.
WHAT TO DO NEXT Cut leaves from each plant leaving some leaves on each so they re-grow. If you require mature roots, thin the seedlings gradually as they grow to an eventual spacing of 10cm (4"). Do not transplant.
HANDY TIP For micro salads sow every 7 days all year round in trays under glass or on a windowsill and harvest as seedlings and use as a garnish. Leave a few outdoor sown plants to mature and eat roots like other beetroots.

The exact size of plants will vary with the growing season and may be cut back in accordance with normal pruning regimes or to fit in the box if they are excessively tall.
