A vigorous, semi-evergreen shrub with masses of mauve-purple flowers to 2.5cm (1in) across throughout summer. Has a lax habit so may need support, and looks good trained against a wall. May survive outside in very mild areas, otherwise keep frost free. Grow in loam based compost and feed monthly in summer. If grown frost free, can be pruned to shape in autumn alternatively in late spring.
